EDUCATION & PROFESSION
I was Born in 1957 in Las Vegas, Nevada and in 1965 I moved to Santa Barbara where I attended high school, before attending UCSB. Next, I transferred to UCLA where I received a dual major degree in psychobiology. Finally, I attended Cleveland Chiropractic of Los Angeles where I graduated in 1987 with a Doctorate of Chiropractic.
I worked in various cities before coming to Ventura, Ca. in 1988. A year later, I began my own practice in Ventura, and then opened another office in Ojai in 1995. My practice is based on: family care, sports injuries, whiplash and other car accident related injuries, as well as workers’ compensation injuries.
I am a Qualified Medical Evaluator (Q.M.E.) for the state of California. By being a Q.M.E., it is my responsibility to objectively analyze a patient’s injuries/disabilities, and help decide proper care based their impairments or disabilities.
I feel it is important to be actively involved in the community. As a result of that belief, I spent 8 years helping a local high school football team as an “on field doctor”. I treated injuries on the field, as well as treated the young athletes in my office for their injuries that could not be resolved on the field. During that time, I was available to all the sports teams, and provided care for athletes that participated in: volleyball, baseball, girls’ soccer, as well as the cheerleaders and managers, as part of my public service. This was a great learning experience for me, and I felt a deep sense of satisfaction for helping in anyway I could.
Since I’ve graduated I’ve continued to further my education by studying subjects such as: workers’ compensation; various adjustment styles; whiplash, which included being a panel of “Crash” 1999 program. In this program, I participated in a 16-car crash program, and I was able to learn more about bumper systems and whiplash.
